Since the premiere on January 31, 2025, Parnassus Arts Productions artist Monika Jägerova (contralto) has been performing as Bradamante in the new production of Alcina at the Gärtnerplatztheater Munich. Under the musical direction of Ruben Dubrovsky and the stage direction of Magdalena Fuchsberger, numerous performances of Alcina are scheduled until April 19, 2025, featuring Monika as Bradamante.
Monika Jägerova has recently celebrated great success in the roles of Ozias and Holofernes (Juditha Triumphans), Teodata (Flavio) at the Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival and MusikTheater an der Wien, and Bradamante (Alcina) at the Royal Opera of Versailles, Narodni Divadlo Brno, and Théâtre de Caen.
Monika Jägerova also performs contemporary and romantic repertoire. Recently, she appeared as Sasha in the world premiere of Here I Am, Orlando at Narodni Divadlo Brno, Radmila (Libuše) with the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, and Tisbe (La Cenerentola) with the Prague Philharmonic.
In Handel’s opera Flavio, Monika Jägerova performed the significant contralto role of Teodata.
